Breaking change

Define max and min values as constants. Add inline comment with explanation for fan setpoint dependencies.

Please try to avoid squash commits in Home Assistant PRs
It means review comments no longer make any sense if someone else picks it up

Just push it as a second commit, and it will get squashed on merge at the end

Understood. What is the recommended way to stay in sync with dev? I did rebase on upstream/dev and then force push --with-lease.

Rebase + force push is OK (though only recommended if there are changes from dev that are needed for the PR)
It's the squashing that is problematic (I would still expect two commits to be present showing the pre-review + post-review commits)
