Brand new capability

Description

PEP 735 – Dependency Groups in pyproject.toml just got accepted. This is similar to Poetry's existing depedency groups.

Impact

It's a new packaging standard that allows for tool agnostic dependency groups.

Workarounds

Continue using poetry's tool specific dependency groups.

This feature will be added to Poetry; however, there is no timeline at the moment. We are focused on delivering Poetry 2.0 first. After that, we will look into this feature. If someone wants to work on adding support for this, please reach out to us on Discord, where we can discuss the details.
