Description of the new feature / enhancement

I need to set up a different keymap scheme so that when I press a specific shortcut key, I can switch to a different keymap.

Scenario when this would be used?

Sometimes I want to map a space to a ctrl key, it's like I'm in command mode. When I don't want to use shortcuts, I need to map the whitespace back to facilitate normal text editing.
