Similar to the efforts in #154 for buttons, would be nice to have an offering for inputs.

Hey Adam, I would like to do this one. I was thinking of taking care of all the input states along with some size variations. I will play around with the states and have a codepen demo and then create the css file. WDYT?

checkout the process and output from buttons for reference please, i'd love for the buttons and inputs to all look like they're part of the same family and use the same customization flow 🤓

as an interim i might set the bg color of inputs to surface-2, since right now they tend to have a warmness to their gray and OP has a coolness, makes them clashy.
